Privacy Policy for VYOWallet

How VALYGO Limited handles information when you use VYOWallet — the official non-custodial wallet for Valygo and VYOChain on iOS and Android.

01 Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how VALYGO Limited (“VALYGO”, “we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use VYOWallet (the “App”), including iOS and Android builds and related wallet features we make available.

VYOWallet is a non-custodial Web3 wallet for VYOChain (Smartchain and NFTchain). It lets you create or import wallets, send and receive assets, swap via VYOSwap, bridge, register .vyo domains, and connect to dApps with WalletConnect. VYOWallet is a technical software product — it is not a bank, custodian, exchange, or payment institution.

03 Scope

This policy applies to VYOWallet on mobile platforms. Separate VALYGO products (for example Omnibank, VALYGOChat, or website services) may have their own privacy notices. Blockchain networks, explorers, DEXs, and dApps you interact with through the App are operated independently and are governed by their own terms and policies.

04 Information we collect

We design VYOWallet to minimize personal data. Depending on how you use the App, the following may apply:

4.1 Data stored on your device

  • Wallet address(es) and related local preferences
  • Encrypted secret phrase / private key material in the device secure storage (Keychain / Keystore)
  • PIN hash and security preferences (biometrics, balance privacy, transaction protection)
  • Local transaction history cache, token lists, and display currency settings
  • WalletConnect session metadata needed to keep dApp connections working

4.2 Device permissions

  • Camera — only to scan WalletConnect QR codes (no photos are uploaded to VALYGO)
  • Biometrics / Face ID — processed by the operating system to unlock the App and protect sensitive actions; biometric templates stay on your device

4.3 Network & blockchain data

  • Public blockchain data (balances, transfers, contract interactions) retrieved from VYOChain RPC nodes and explorers
  • Token metadata and prices from public endpoints such as coinslist.vyochain.com
  • Optional .vyo domain resolution via VYO Domains
What we do not collect

We do not require your legal name, email, phone number, government ID, or seed phrase to use VYOWallet. We do not run advertising trackers or sell your data. Location is not collected or stored by VYOWallet.

05 How we use information

  • To operate wallet functions: create/import accounts, display balances, send, swap, bridge, and domains
  • To secure the App with PIN / biometrics and protect secret phrase viewing and transaction signing
  • To connect to dApps via WalletConnect and show connection status
  • To resolve network state from VYOChain RPCs and related Valygo infrastructure
  • To diagnose crashes or connectivity issues when you contact support
  • To comply with applicable legal obligations

Where data protection law requires a legal basis, processing is based on providing the wallet service you request, our legitimate interests in securing the App, and legal compliance where required.

06 Keys, custody & on-chain data

Your secret phrase and private keys never leave your device and are never transmitted to VALYGO servers. You alone control your keys. If you lose your device and backup phrase, VALYGO cannot recover your wallet.

Transactions you broadcast are recorded on public blockchains (including VYOChain Smartchain and NFTchain). Public addresses and transaction details are visible to anyone with access to the network or explorers such as VYOScan.

07 Local storage & device access

Security credentials and wallet secrets are stored using platform secure storage. App preferences (appearance, privacy toggles, currency) may use local storage on your device. Clearing app data, uninstalling, or resetting the device removes local App data — always keep a secure backup of your secret phrase offline.

08 Third-party services

VYOWallet relies on infrastructure needed to function as a Web3 wallet, including:

  • VYOChain RPC / WebSocket endpoints (e.g. rpc-sc.vyochain.com, vyoscan gateways)
  • VYOScan and related explorers for transaction visibility
  • VYOSwap / DEX router contracts and price / token list APIs
  • VYO Bridge and VYO Domains when you use those features
  • WalletConnect relay infrastructure for dApp pairing
  • Apple App Store / Google Play for distribution and updates

These parties process technical data only as needed to provide their function. When you open external websites or dApps, their privacy policies apply.

09 Data retention

Local wallet and preference data remain on your device until you delete the App, clear data, or wipe the device. We do not maintain a VALYGO cloud copy of your secret phrase or private keys. Public blockchain records persist according to the network and are outside our control. Support emails you send to us are kept as long as needed to respond and meet legal or security requirements.

10 Security

We use industry-standard practices for a non-custodial mobile wallet: secure enclave / Keystore storage, optional biometric and PIN gates, HTTPS for API and RPC traffic, and screen protections for sensitive flows. No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. You are responsible for protecting your device, PIN, biometrics, and secret phrase.

11 Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of personal data, and to data portability. Because most wallet data lives on your device or on public chains, many requests are fulfilled by using App settings or controlling your own keys. For privacy requests related to any personal data we hold (for example support correspondence), contact [email protected].

12 Children

VYOWallet is not directed to children under 16 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

13 International transfers

Infrastructure providers (RPC, WalletConnect, app stores) may process technical data in countries outside your own. Where required by law, we take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards for personal data we control.

14 Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of VYOWallet after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy where permitted by law.
